Brief History
Tikkerush/Timber was born the year the last tree of Takan was felled; bearing the name of the sound as it fell, with his father onlooking. Takan was a small village that primarily did it business with trees; carpentry, selling fruits and nuts and wood. However, they bid shelter to the enemy of the crown - Condor, a former nobleman who had attempted a coup, but failed. Thus the emperor, Ael'Man at the time, destroyed almost all they had that had made their town prosperous.
Timber grew up in poverty, his mother dying only three years after his birth, and his younger brother, Tikkedtun/Fireside, always sickly and getting most of the attention. Timber grew up quickly and assumed many jobs that where more befitting a teenager or an adult than a child. When he was seven, the emperor was finally overthrown by Condor's son, Crush. Crush created chaos among the former nations under the last emperor; Timber's family had aided in the overthrow but left the cause when Crush proved to be overly malicious and bloodhungry.
His father eventually left him and his brother alone to go in search of a better land for everyone - Tikkerush was only fifteen at the time. When Randil returned, the only surviving member of his party, he was very ill, but very excited. He claimed to have seen an end to the desert, a place like it had been before. He'd drawn up a map, but his illness gradually got worse until he was mostly paralyzed, and he died one night while his sons where asleep.
When Fireside was sixteen, Timber left him to care for himself as he went to search for the land his father had found; but the map was hard to trace, and the land had already changed and he soon got lost. Giving up hope on finding it he returned to Takan to find it laid waste, even worse than before. So he took up a life of traveling - having trained in fighting and tracking he became a bounty hunter. His main goal is to find the survivor's of Crush's family, who are wanted in several clans across the Vast Empty - his first target is Nesta, who killed the foreman of Takan and set the town ablaze.
